Based on a study conducted by the Gallup mammoth
Organization with 80,000 managers in different
Industries, this book explores the challenge of many
Companies – the recognition, preservation and the extent of employee
Satisfaction. Learn how great managers hire, attract,
to concentrate and retain their most talented employees!

Key ideas:

First The best managers reject conventional wisdom.

Second The best managers treat every employee as an individual.

Third The best managers never try to fix weaknesses, but
they focus on the strengths and talents.

4th The best managers know they are on stage every day. They
know their are people watching every move they make.

5th Measure employee satisfaction is critical to
Its investors.

6th People leave their immediate supervisor, not companies
they work.

7th The best managers are those that build a work environment

where employees respond positively to these 12 questions:

a. Do I know what to expect from me at work?

b. Do I have the materials and equipment do I need to do my
does not work?

c. At work, I can have the opportunity to do what I do best
every day?

d In the last seven days I have received recognition or
Praise for good work?

E. My supervisor or a staff seem to care about
me as a person?

f Is there someone at work who encourages my development?

g appear at work, my opinions count?

h T is the mission / purpose of my company make me feel my
Work is important?

I. My colleagues are committed while the quality of work?

j. Do I have a best friend at work?

k In the last six months, someone told me about at work
with my progress?

l had last year I had the opportunity to work
to learn and grow?

The Gallup survey found that companies that are reflected
positive answers to 12 questions profited more, were
productive as business units, retained more employees
per year and more satisfied customers.

Without meeting the basic needs of an employee first, a manager
can never expect the employees to give excellent performance.
The basic needs are: knowing what is expected of employees
at work to give him the equipment, to fulfill its mission
right, and his answer basic questions of self-esteem and
Self-esteem by praising a job and worry about
its development as a human being.

The great manager mantra is do not try, in what was defined
ignored take, but what was left in. You need to rent
to develop talent and that talent on the market
Performance.

More wisdom in one of the first written, breaking all the rules:

First What can be learned and requires a natural
Talent.

Second Define good results, not the steps. Normalize the end
but not the means. As long as resources within the
legal boundaries of firms and industry standards, have the
Employee uses his own style, to deliver the result or outcome
You want.

Third Motivate by focusing on strengths, not weaknesses.

4th The cast is important, if an employee does not meet
to excellence, maybe she is not cast in good roles.

5th Every role is noble, respect it enough to rent
Talent to match.

6th A manager needs to draw in the art of the interview. You see, when
repeating units of candidates corresponds to the behavior
Role to fulfill. Ask open-ended questions and let
talk to him. Listen for more details.

7th Find ways to measure, count, and reward results.

8th Spend time with your best people. Give constant feedback.
If you are not an hour in each quarter of a conversation with
Employees, you should not be a manager.

9th There are several ways a problem or non-talent to alleviate.
Designing a support system, you will find a complementary partner for him,
Replacement or a role play.

10th Do not promote someone until he reaches his level
Incompetence, simply offer bigger rewards in the same
Scope of his work. It is better to have an excellent high
paid waitress or waiter to support your team, or that
It starting to a bar manager down.

11th Some homework: Study the best managers in the
Companies to revise and integrate education, what they know.
Send your ability to learn new skills or knowledge.
Change to revise Anwerbungspraktiken, talent,
Employee job descriptions and qualifications.

A challenge for any organization is to attract and retain,
and employee motivation. If a company succeeds,
Therefore, employees work with passion, energy and enthusiasm. This leads to an increase
Productivity and more profits for the company.

Another factor to remember is this: real leadership
must be performed, for example. Remember that the people below
You follow your example and you have a huge
Impact on your employees. Contact you
for signals, how they behave and what the organization
expected of them.

Remember that one of the secrets of success
Management of an organization is to
articulate a common purpose that inspires people to work
hard. Good communication, efficient and open
Goals, rules, instructions and expectations
show a difference.

The best way for an organization to be successful is to
Employees all have a responsibility that can handle it
then stops again. Trusting your employees to
supports their work and society.

Trust is also a social contract – we must win.
Trust is earned when you enter. When people start
trust each other more, to stop them
deny motives and start to work as a unit.

Encourage people to be in your organization, results-oriented and open to new ideas.Encourage them to use their imagination to find new
Ways of doing things. Your employees should know how
take the initiative.

It is also important to remember that sometimes you
must learn to take calculated risks. Bet on people
Who think for themselves. A “Leap of Faith”
and trust a person can do the job and do it
right, you will increase your confidence and make him
its job better. You must also learn to take a
Chance of a promising sailor. Give people second
Opportunities, especially when you see the potential in him. It
may surprise you with excellent results.
Finally, if a rule does not make sense, the fraction
carefully. Remember, there’s always room for
Ideas for improvement, but think carefully before
their implementation.

In any business, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
is the rule. It is safe, proven and effective. However
SOP seldom gets outstanding results and distracted
People what is really important.

Innovation and progress is made when you go
the Standard Operating Procedures. Sometimes you have to
must seek new ways to manage tasks and see old
new approaches to new problems.

Good leaders strengthen their organization by building
its people and helps them feel good
themselves and their jobs. If this happens, morality
and improved productivity, which
Earnings rose to society. Focus on self-esteem. Show them that you believe and trust
in them. Praise them for a job well done.

Unity is for any organization. If you do not
support each other, the organization will soon
Experiencing critical problems may be irreversible.
The job of a leader is to assemble the best team
possible to form the unit, and to understand how best
for members to get together for the good of the
the organization.

Finally, remember that people who love us and
Looking forward to going to work are more productive and
happy. You can create a positive atmosphere in the workplace
let people have fun and interact with their
Colleagues. Have fun at work creates more social
Glue for the organization. This results in productivity
and loyalty.

About the author:

Captain D. Michael Abrashoff is a former commander
Navy officer in the United States. He is also founder
Immediately and CEO of Grassroots Leadership, Inc.
After leaving the Navy, Mike created Grassroots
Leadership, advising others how to give their
People while increasing profits and reducing costs.
Mike continues to spread his message through his
first book, “It’s Your Ship,” published by Warner Books.

Reading books can be very expensive hobby, but selling used books can be very promising and profitable business opportunity for you. It is very common nowadays that people are making money from their hobbies, so why don’t sell your old books and starting to get money out of them? Whether it is new or used, online Sell Used Textbooks is one of the thriving businesses which are taking the advantage from the arrival of the internet. Of course you can always market your used books on the real life, but building online networks is important as you can connect with other people from other continents and countries that automatically will expand your market segment.

Before you decide to sell your used or old books, you need to sort them out. Sorting the books is important because not all books are eligible for selling. Compilation of bed time stories for children, novels, education books, and even cooking recipe books are usually books which are in high demand. Now that you already sort your books, you need to check the physical condition of the books one by one. Books with torn pages or pages with handwriting or even scratches are better not for sale because not only they provide low sell value, but also represent that you don’t respect your customers.

How can you market your used or old books? Sunday market, farmers’ market, and even flea market are great place to start. Make sure you recognize what you are selling because usually the customers need short review on what the books are about. Sell Used Books are also profitable if you are targeting the college and university students. Some textbooks are still expensive for college and university students which why they choose to borrow them from public library or get the online copy. For old books, you need to give few maintaining tips on how to treat the books and how to storage them because humidity can damage the books.

This is a great book, and if you are not familiar with Guy Kawasaki, I suggest you familiarize yourself with it. He is an author, venture capitalist and former Apple employees. Needless to say, the experience is extensive and their equipment is very good. Reality Check is his book with excellent business advice for any entrepreneur packed. I will come to this book in a synthesis profile. Guy does a great job in the book by Oscar Wilde – “Some other of happiness wherever they go cause when they go.” This book is about a spell on every level. Influence, persuasion and sales skills are good, but the magic it takes for the next level. Guy dives into this in detail.

Why is it important for me? Have you ever noticed how things just come naturally to some people? They are very successful and attract people to their cause. Is much more than influence or persuasion. The boiler room movie quotes hard, but real -.. ”Every interaction is a sale, you have to either sell or to accept YES” In a nutshell, is why you understand the magic, according to Guy, Magic transforms hostility. with courtesy and kindness in remodels Affinity Affinity is by definition: “A taste spontaneous, natural, or sympathy for someone or something.”

What is great about magic, that with amazing information you put in order for you to work immediately filled. It is not only relevant for the economy, he works for every relationship. Due to time constraints, I will describe three key concepts in the book. Note: There are many more.

First Why Magic? Apple is an organization that is a cult of money, as more and more into the bank by our government. Apple treats customers. Novell is another technology company that manufactures and sells a little money. They had to acquire a lock for Network Computing PC but decided to enjoy, not to customers and lost position.Enchantment can change the world. Personal example: I love the software and create stuff that does not exist. This allowed me to transform our business from a seller of things other people, is a manufacturer of our own stuff. I respect that so much because I do not know how to write good software. I’m just the disc main hall, that it is sold.

Second Reliability – To be successful in any business, you have to sell to the people on your ideas. It’s that simple. If the passion and conviction, which helps, but if you do not trust, if it all goes down the drain. Business is circular, if a thief or a quick buck artist you are always starting from scratch. A good rule to follow is what I call the test Detroit Free Press.Basically, if your mother read the first page of the Detroit Free Press and the action or decision that you had just done, would you proud or ashamed? This answer says it all.

Third Introduction – part of the sale of your ideas and build great things are in the presentation. Today, people, myself included, have the attention span of ants. This means that the bits, bytes, megahertz, gigahertz, and other tech blur will not sell. This stuff is just people sleep or allow them to use their cell phones during your presentation. A major policy is to use the rule 20:10:30. This means – 10 slides, 20 minutes and 30 point fonts.

Enchantment is packed with more tips and I suggest you read it. Guy materials in all his books, is very relevant for the economy but “Enchantment” is also relevant to the business. If you are part of a charitable organization, church or any other cause, then this product is a must.

You may know this already, but I am a big fan of OPE, the OPT, the OPA and OPM. This means the experience of other people, time, money and associations. Following the work of Guy could take years, on your way.An example is how you present when you are pitching banks or VC. This is a great thing when you are growing a business. Presentation skills are a must for you to learn.

I hope you find this summary useful. The key to a new idea is to work in your life until it becomes a habit. Habits form in less than 21 days. One thing that you can remove the book, is the Rule of Three. This means you keep your presentation points to three things and see. Look at all the presentations by Steve Jobs, and this will be crystallized. Please follow this and together we can be freed from hell and PowerPoint slide show.
